Hvad er Billed Politik?Billed Politik er en kunstnerisk og politisk kampagne, som tager fat i billedets muligheder som politisk våben. De sidste 20 år har billedet tjent lydigt i markedsføringen af livsstile og krigsførelse. Med det endelige sammenbrud af den politiske offentlighed siden d. 11. September 2001 er det nærmest blevet umuligt at opstille modbilleder mod det billedbombardement, som har fungeret som en integreret del af den såkaldte Krig mod Terror. Med Billed Politik tages der fat i bombardementet indenfor billedkunst, film og teater. Billed Politik er en udstilling, filmserie, teaterforestilling, seminar og bogudgivelse arrangeret af billedkunstneren Jakob Jakobsen. Billedpolitik forløber fra d. 12. februar til den 22. april. What is Image Politics?Image Politics is an artistic and political campaign that engages in the image's potential as a political weapon. The last 20 years the image has served obediently in the marketing of lifestyles and warfare. With the final collapse of the political public sphere since 11th September 2001 it has become almost impossible to establish counter images against the visual bombardment, which has functioned as an integral part of the so-called War on Terror. With Image Politics we address the bombardment through the visual arts, film and theater. Image Politics is an exhibition, film series, theater, seminar and publication organized by visual artist Jakob Jakobsen. Image Politics runs from February 12 to April 22 2010.
